Things I Love Thursday: Miracle on Hope Hill (& GIVEAWAY!)

Hey Friends :)

Happy "Things I Love Thursday"!

Today I'm linking up with Jill from the Diaper Diaries to share something I love.....a new book - Miracle on Hope Hill: And Other True Stories of God's Love by Carol Kent and Jennie Dimkoff.

As I've shared in the past, Carol & Jennie have had a huge impact in my life. I've had the opportunity to get to know these ladies both professionally and personally ~ and let me tell you, they are the real deal! I love every minute that I spend with them!

(Picture below: the Afman sisters ~ Jennie Dimkoff, me, Carol Kent, and Bonnie Emmorey)

I've been looking forward to their latest book, "Miracle on Hope Hill" since I first heard about it almost 2 years ago! If you haven't read it yet, trust me...you will LOVE it! :)

What is Miracle on Hope Hill? I'm glad you asked!

Miracle on Hope Hill is a collection of true, inspiring stories that show God’s love and affirmation intervening in the lives of ordinary people. It includes stories of romance, heartache, tragedy, and celebration, but all with the common thread of "God moments" that show his love, intervention, and blessing....

If you enjoy hearing true stories of "God Moments" in the everyday lives of real people ~ you'll want to check "Miracle on Hope Hill" out!

When I first opened "Miracle on Hope Hill" book, I was pretty confident I would enjoy it. (I've not yet read a book of Carol & Jennie's that I didn't enjoy. In fact, did you know that the VERY FIRST book I bought as a Christian was Carol's book, "Becoming A Women of Influence". I still reference it today!).

Also, two dear friends' stories (April & Tanya) are both are featured in "Miracle on Hope Hill". Knowing their powerful, personal journeys ~ I sensed I was in for a real treat.

I was not prepared, however, to NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN! What an amazing work. All 39 of the stories are powerful! I laughed. I cried. I was amazed by God! I was encouraged by the uplifting quotes sprinkled throughout the book, and the life-changing Truths referenced in each story. Great stuff!

I immediately bought 2 more copies (one for my mom, and one for my sweet TX friend Donna), and plan to give many as gifts this Christmas!

One friend shared, "I would suggest this book for anyone who needs encouragement, a little pick me up, or a big reminder of the never failing character of God. What a beautiful gift idea for someone who finds themselves in need of a little hope or even a gift of thanks to someone who has been a hope lifter".

I totally agree! :)

And now, dear bloggy friend, I would love, love, love to share this book with you!!

In fact, Jennie was over for lunch a few weeks ago and personally signed 4 copies for me to share with my *She Sparkles* friends. Woo Hoo!

What a great giveaway! As the weather gets colder in West Michigan and the days get shorter I find myself wanting to curl up with a good book by the fire. This would be a great book to do that with.

I would love to win because I like to keep books such as this on my bedside table - they are perfect for a quick read before I go to sleep or before I start my day - ending or starting on a high!

Be blessed!

Hi Cindy! I was blessed to hear you speak at the first meeting of WORD at Sunshine Church this fall. My first time there and my first time hearing you speak. I must say you were awesome and you are an inspiration to all women.

I would like to win the signed book to share with my mother and sister. My mother, through tragedy, has found time to strengthen her faith in Christ by going to Sunshine with me. It was hard to leave my previous bible study and go off to something new, but I did it for my mom and she has just blossomed with a newness of life. I also have a sister who has struggled for many years. We lost a sister 6 years ago and that affected her life immensely, however now she struggles with an illness that no doctor has been able to truly diagnosis. Dark times for her for a while now, but she has her faith and what way to uplift both her and my mom is to read this book you are raving about.

Please consider us and thank you for being a real inspiration.

Cindy, Thanks for your "sparkling" book endorsement! Carol & I had the joy of seeing God at work in every chapter. It made writing "Miracle on Hope Hill" a very precious project for us. I've loved reading the posts so far!
