Between A Rock & A Grace Place ~ GIVEAWAY!

Hey Friends!

Happy November to you!!

As I shared in my last post, Carol Kent and her Speak Up seminars have had a huge impact in my life. Carol is such a treasure in the Kingdom!!

What a blessing to be able to share her latest book, "Between A Rock and A Grace Place" with you! If you haven't read it yet, trust me...you will LOVE it! :)

When I was first asked to review Carol's latest book, I was pretty confident I would enjoy it. (I've not yet read a book of Carol's that I didn't enjoy ~ in fact, would you know that the VERY FIRST book I bought as a Christian was her book, "Becoming A Women of Influence". I still reference it today!).

I was not prepared, however, to NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN! What an amazing work! My husband John and I sat together on the couch immovable as we read the book together. In fact, I was immediately drawn to share this quick note on-line....

"What an amazing, tear-jerking, faith-building, authentic, hope-filled book Carol has written! I just received the book today, and my husband and I sat on the couch this evening reading it together. I needed tissues before we even arrived at Chapter 1, and the Nurse Betty story almost brought out my "ugly cry" (the power of a mother's prayer!!...). Thank you, Carol, for sharing your story with such honesty and transparency. What a huge blessing! I can't wait to read more! :) "

Here's a brief summary of the Between A Rock and A Grace Place....

How Do You Find Grace in the Midst of Heartbreak??

Between A Rock and A Grace Place is a riveting journey of facing impossible obstacles and discovering the last thing ever expereinced - the sweet spot of grace. With openness, hope, restored joy, and humor, Carol Kent helps readers find God's "grace places" in the middle of their worst moments.

And here's Carol sharing more of her journey and an overview of the book. (This is less than 3 minutes long, and you'll be so glad you watched it! The Kent Family is such a powerful reflection of God's Glory!!).....

This is the perfect book to share with anyone who is going through a "tight spot" in life. I recently gave a copy to a dear friend who is on pregnant and on bed rest with baby # 4. I also gave a copy to my dear friend Brenda, after the tragic loss of her sister and mom.

And now, dear bloggy friend, I would love, love, love to share this book with you!!

Hi! Cindy, WoW! I loved the video that you shared! And I would love to read this book, it sounds like a wonderful way to escape the every-day trauma we call life! I have had 2 son's go through divorces that has caused some very un-friendly times for our family, and with children in the middle! My heart aches for one of my grandson's because of such anger issues! Thanks for the sweet blessing of give-a-way! I do follow, I have your button, and I will share this on my blog tomorrow! Love and Blessings!

I really want to read this book! I think that often we find ourselves between a rock and a hard place, but don't see the grace. From what I've read about this book, I believe it would open my eyes to more of the grace around me.

I'm a follower and subscriber. Also added she sparkles button to my blog! Tried to tweet it, but link to long?

I would love to read Carol's book...what a testimony she and her family are living! And what a blessing that they are willing to share it with others so freely.

Cindy, I knew this book was one I would need to read as soon as I read the comment you had written...you used the words "hope-filled." At the end of 2009, I chose the word "hope" to be my focus word for this year. I have just clung to hope and my Savior Who IS hope.

So, yes...I would very much like to read this book.

Wow, I did not know Carol's story. It puts into perspective my troubles and how lucky I am. This book sounds amazing. I'm definitely adding it to my Good Reads list Cindy. Why would I like to read this book - I'm currently going through a year where My head knows God is with me, but my heart sometimes questions His time.

Thank you for sharing this. The son of my neighbor is suffering from leukemia at 5 years old. He has had many difficulties (burst appendix, loss of vision, lack of speech), which has kept him in the hospital. I would love to share this book with his family.

I would love to read this book! I am living in a tight spot right now and could use Carol's encouragement.

I've met both Carol and her husband. In fact, she was the keynote speaker at my denomination's annual women's conference a number of years ago. It was right after her son had been arrested and she almost cancelled coming but didn't. We were so thankful she came and it wasn't until towards the end of the day that she shared the story of her son and his arrest. At that time, the trial had not started. We cried with her and hugged her. There were so many women who came forward to speak with her. It was overwhelming.

I love that she is able to go on and that God can bring good out of a horrible situation. Carol is such a blessing to many.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

I would love to enter. Not only would I love to read it, but I have a friend I would love to give this book to most of all. She is the most selfless person I know, that is often having a hard time at life. Not because she has bad luck, but because she does the hard things for Jesus. She doesn't try to live a comfortable life, but a life following Him. She is so positive, but still gets down some days, so I would love to bless her with this book!

I would love to win this book because I seem to find myself in between a rock and hard place most of my life! It sounds like an amazing read, and my husband and I love to cuddle up on the couch and read together. The book sounds great--can't wait to read it. But I will disqualify myself from this give away since I won the last one!! I did hear Carol on Midday Connection yesterday (Moody radio) talking about the book and that just enhanced my excitement to read!!!

I have followed Carol & read most of her powerful books before passing them on. I am between a rock & a grace place & her insights, wisdom, & encouragment is so needed in my life right now & so many of the women who call me to pray for them. Had 2 today asking for prayer & I'm humbled that God asked them to contact me when I feel so needy. ♥
