"The Story of Your Life" ~ Back to the Books GIVEAWAY Hop

Hey Friends!

Today I am thrilled to participate in a fun book giveaway/blog hop hosted by Inspired Kathy at I am a Reader not a Writer. Over 300 blogs are giving away a book, and all the blogs are linked together so you can hop from one to the next. What fun! I hope you'll join us!

The book I am excited to share with you is "The Story of Your Life: Inspiring Stories of God at Work in People Just Like You". The book was written by Grammy-nominated recording artist Matthew West and Angela Thomas (one of my favorite authors!) Woo Hoo!

Here's some info on The Story of Your Life

When Grammy-nominated recording artist Matthew West started writing his top-selling album, The Story of Your Life (Sparrow, 2010) he asked fans to submit personal experiences.

More than 10,000 tales of hope, perseverance, and redemption poured in. With friend and author Angela Thomas, West presents some of these powerful stories paired with meaningful devotions they inspired.

A sampling of what topics are addressed in this book...

* ADDICTION
* BULLYING
* AUTISM
* DRUNK DRIVING
* ABORTION
* ADOPTION

This unforgettable devotional journey inspires readers to discover God as the author of their unique lives and to share the power of their story.

As you know, I never share books that I wouldn't highly recommend. I wholeheartedly give this book 5 out of 5 stars! I loved reading the powerful, inspirational stories of God's faithfulness, goodness and grace! My only caution: once you start reading you will not be able to put it down! It was definitely one of my favorite summer reads!

I'm thrilled to share a copy of "The Story of Your Life" with one *She Sparkles* reader!

  17. I would love another book to add to my collection! Hmmm does it come with it's own bookcase? I'm spoiled when it comes to books. LOVE to read and reading peoples stories are the best things to read - almost as good as hearing it directly from the source.

  19. Cindy I read this summer (and am still reading), Ann Voskamp's "One Thousand Gifts." It has inspired me to start my own gratitude, thanksgiving/thankful, praise journal. Also, I have been reading "The One Year Book of Hymns" written by William J. Petersen and Randy Petersen. I love the old hymns and this book gives a brief devotional and tells how the hymn was inspired by the writer.

    Sweet Blessings,
    Donna

  32. Wow. Asking me to pick a favorite book is a lot like asking me to say which of my children is my favorite. An impossibility. My favorite THIS summer? The Help. No doubt about it. As a civil rights attorney, I simply couldn't put it down and have seen the movie -- a very faithful and true adaptation of the book -- twice.
