Things I Love Thursday: Cedar Point!

If you haven't entered my Thunder of Heaven giveaway it's not too late! Giveaway runs through August 7, 2011! :)

Are you looking for a fun, family friendly getaway for you and your family??

How about
Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio?! :)

Did you know Cedar Point is on 364 acres?? Besides all of the great rides, Cedar Point also has a mile-long white sand beach, an outdoor water park (Soak City), an indoor waterpark and hotel (Castaway Bay), two marinas, plus Challenge Park, which features attractions such as go-karts, miniature golf, Ripcord and Skyscraper. What a ton of fun!

Cedar Point was voted "Best Amusement Park in the World" by Amusement Today for the past 13 years! And I can see why!

My girls are busy at
Spring Hill day camp this week, so I took my two boys (ages 9 & 17) ~ and let them each bring a friend. Boy did we have a blast!

Our day included riding lots of GREAT rides....

Eating lots of yummy food (check out this elephant ear! It was delicious!)....

Winning prizes from the fun games.....

They're favorite prizes were their "Angry Birds"! The boys are trying to look angry too ~ lol!

A visit to Planet Snoopy....

And getting soaked on the water rides....

Our Cedar Point adventure lastest over 11 hours in one day! Whew!

My favorite part was on our last ride when Benj leaned over to me and whispered, "Can you not yell "I'm too old for this!" while we're on this ride. It's embarassing, Mom.".

Who, me?? :)

(So maybe I was yelling "I'm too old for this" on the Iron Dragon. But have you seen that ride?? The things we do for our kids! Smile!)

From start to finish, our day at Cedar Point was a ton of fun! I can't wait to go back next year!

And I don't know....maybe next year I'll even be brave enough to ride their latest ride the WindSeeker. I didn't have the courage this year ~ although it does look amazing!!

How about YOU?? Are you a roller coaster lover? Do you have any fun Cedar Point memories?? I'd love to hear from YOU!!

Thanks for stopping by *She Sparkles*!! Have a Thrilling Thursday!

How fun!!! I'm cracking up at your son's comment. Ha!!! I can totally picture you screaming that. Love it. You're a fun Mom.

I'm definitely NOT a roller coaster gal. On our recent visit to Disney, one daughter rode the wild rides with Dad and the other one strolled with mom. It's a system that works for us.

I do enjoy an amusement park, though.
Your adventure looked wonderful.

I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and we used to go to Cedar Point all the time. It was an awesome place, even back then. I'd love to go back there sometime soon. I'm glad you all had a great time!!

Oh, and yes, I LOVE ROLLER COASTERS!!

I grew up very close to Cedar Point and went every summer... usually multiple times! No matter where we've lived, the kids and I always make it to Cedar Point every year. This summer is the first summer we've ever missed in 18 years!

Glad you loved your visit there - that place is filled with so very many happy memories for me!!!
